[Not terribly different from a normal job, outside the fact that he now had vampire weaknesses and no access to his previous abilities or time to go back to his apartment - if it hadn't been cleaned out already.]

Right. So now it's just a matter of finding the bastard.

[Jin's eyes narrow slightly at the jab, and feeling his fangs still out, he bares them at Justin for a moment in a wicked grin.]

Come over here and find out.

No, I don't. I just lived long enough to know how most demons are.

[He looked over at Jin and his baby vampire teeth and almost cracks a smile. Though it does slightly worries him that Jin likes biting and Dusty likes it when he gets bit, but he trusts his human enough to know he wasn't going to attempt sleeping with a newborn. Maybe in a few years, but no, he didn't need to think of that scenario.]

Stop arguing until you're in a safe spot, children.

[He doesn't wait for a response, instead he starts flitting from shadow to shadow, moving slow enough so Jin could keep up, though after a street or two he takes to the rooftops. Once they were away from the poorer sections they needed to be careful of who sees them after all.]

[Justin doesn't say anything in response to Jin's taunt, just makes a licking motion with his tongue, a tongue that seems too long to be part of his human guise. He prefers flirtations, even dangerous ones. He understands them.

And then Tarr is off before they can continue their little ~~lovers'~~ spat. Justin shrugs, slipping into the shadows himself. He may not be a worker of magic, but he's a being of darkness. He can move faster than human eyes can detect.

He considers shifting into his female form, both to unsettle Jin and Tarr, and to allow the vampire they seek to underestimate him by appearance. They're all so dumb; even when they can sense a demon they will see a slinky dress and a pair of heels and assume weakness.

Once the vampires are travelling across the rooftops Justin tranforms into Justine.]

[Jin lets out a huff (he really needs to remember he doesn't actually need to breathe in this state) before he follows Tarr, surprising himself with how quickly he's moving now through the darkness, and he has to bite back a whoop as they're moving until they hit the rooftops.

This was familiar territory - while he hadn't moved as fast as this, he had been used to running across rooftops to try and get the jump on some of his targets before as a hunter. It was definitely still odd to have to think of it as something like this - divorcing his old activities as a hunter to what he was now as a vampire.

It's not until they're joined by Justine that he stops moving, once again nearly sputtering.]

What the hell?!

Form has no meaning save its advantages.

[A hint of his own ability to shift and change shape depending on what he needed. Tarr doesn't even look at Justine even if he could smell the differences of pheromones from male to female. He never felt the need to take on a woman's form but one of the brood kings he met during the last biggest human war shifted easily from twelve year old girl to ancient crusader male warrior in battle. That one too gave him the first push to shift his form to the worrying mass of limbs and tentacles that he took on at times.]

Grow strong enough and you can learn how to shift as well. [There was an open space in their next lag of the hunt, and he hit the ground, and continue to run, slowing as he felt the first brush of a territorial marking in their path. Tarr took a deep breath and tasted the scent of their prey and a few other brood leaders in the air. Looks like he had company..]

I am going to play politics here. Which means attack when I say instead of when you feel like it you two. It will make things much easier and won't have us ending up with a bunch of bloodless fledglings running around the city hunting people.

Rude. Form means everything. [Justine knows what donning this appearance does to Jin, after all.] I'm only trying to use my best assets to our advantage. They'll know what I am, but I can still be distracting.

[A lick of the lips and a wink in Jin's direction. Who exactly is Justine kidding herself she's going to be distracting? No, really she knows better than to do that in the heat of the moment, in the middle of a fight. Best to tease right now and get it out of her system for a while.]

Maybe you can learn to shift female too. Ever been curious about girl-on-girl, baby?

[It takes him a few moments to snap himself out of it, and he just ends up nodding weakly at Tarr's words once they're close. He knows that even though he would love to do that, rushing in whenever would just end up being a suicide mission, never mind condemning more people with an influx of masterless vamps running amok.

Once he does move, though, he hangs back, letting out an annoyed grumble.]

Tempting, but I thought that you weren't interested in fucking anymore now that I'm a member of the fang-bearing club? [He can't help but smile a little at that.]

Not really. Certainly there are advantages, but the form itself is just another set of clothing to wear or discard when the time comes.

[Sorry little demon, he isn't going to be tempted into changing the subject and showing off at this point of the night. They were inside a vampire's territory intent on killing said vampire. They didn't need to have a huge showing off contest of forms.]

I'll show you my female form after if you're that interested, even if it's not your thing to fuck a vampire.

[He gave Jin a nod at that little verbal dig and then slowed down his pace. He could smell the guards moving in and they need to be a little civil now.]

Maybe you should stick around, Justine. After all, I learned how to shift thanks to a master at it. You can teach Jin how to do it far easier then I.

If it doesn't matter at all then why are you both spending so much time- [Justine places her hands either side of her breasts and begins to slide her hands down her slender waist until she reaches her own hips.] -on this? When we should be focusing on that.

[She nods her head in the direction from which company are about to join them. She may not have a heightened sense of smell, but she has senses that can detect any being nearby, living or the living dead.

She can't resist one little throw away comment though, tossing her hair over her shoulder.]

Funny that you're both so eager to change my mind about vampires now. So that if it were my thing you could fuck me...?

[Just gonna ignore the comment about helping Jin out for now, but it's been silently taken under advisement.]

You're the one who thought it was a good idea to shift form in the first place.

[Jin has to fight not to roll his eyes since they are so close and with incoming company, though the fact that he was extremely intent on watching Justine earlier was probably incredibly obvious.]

I'm just saying that... [Now probably isn't the best time to admit this, and if he were still human, he might actually be blushing a bit, which is a rarity for Jin, considering how shameless he usually is.] I'd still be interested.

I'm certain that you don't mind the attention in any case.

[He stepped in front of the other two and bared his teeth at the guards. There was a moment's paused as they glanced at each other and then bowed, stepping out of his way. He continued to lead the way, lesser vampires moving to stop him, hesitating and then backing off quickly. Others watched from a distance, soft hisses of conversations following them until they reached a set of doors. Tarr opened them and stepped into a room that could be placed in any business - long table, high back chairs, sleek computers and then -]

Oppa! [Tiny, blonde and dressed in the latest fashion, a female vampire hopped from her seat and grabbed his arm tightly.] You never call!

Yeo-soo...

[Nothing wrong with enjoying attention. Justine gives Jin a long, considering look after the admission that he would indeed still be up for resuming their sexual relationship even changed as he is. Now it really is up to her to decide what's in it for her if not a meal. The fact that she keeps looking at him thoughtfully and not retorting with a smart remark or disgust must speak volumes, even though she hasn't said a word.

What is it Jin wants from her, exactly?

Not really any time to dwell on that in the end. Justine's eyes widen in disbelief as Tarr is smothered by a small, female vampire. She finds herself cracking a smile. This is amazing, she must drive Tarr crazy.]

[He's pretty silent after that, surprising even him as they continue forward. It doesn't help that there's a creeping feeling of dread the further they go in.

It actually ends up peaking when the small female vamp - Yeo-soo - starts cuddling up to Tarr, and he nearly freezes. He doubted that she would forget him when he had stuck her with two of his knives on a previous hunt, one he had barely survived if it weren't for Dusty.

Instead he busies himself with trying to figure out which one of these guys was his maker.]

[She continues to cuddle up to him, chatting quickly about many things while Tarr just closes his eyes and huffs softly. Like what was he suppose to do really? He knew she would always cling because she had hoped for a little more then just a brotherly care on his end. Even though that would never come to pass, she just was still the kind to be sweet and clingy.]

Yeo-soo, please, business first.

[She huffed and finally pulls away, and then spotted Jin. Her first reaction wasn't very aggressive. There was a frown, followed by a pout and then she bounced over to him and pokes at his shoulder.]

Oppa, why is the hunter here? You didn't change him, did you?

He's the reason I'm here, and no, I didn't change him.

He's cute, can I keep him?

[If he wasn't here to be the big bad elder, Tarr would have certainly headdesk at this level of silly. As it was, he just closed his eyes and tried to ignore the slight reddening of his cheeks. Why him? Oh yes, he had a soft spot for his little baby sister.]

I think that's up to him. Don't try to force him either. [She stuck her tongue out at Tarr's back and attempts to snuggle up against Jin.]

I don't think you came here to socialize, Elder.

Forgive me, señor, I was following a blood trace to here, and I have reason to believe that several laws have been broken. Also, do you not control the territory to the west near Shawa Park?

[The small neat vampire with the nicely groomed mustache nodded. Tarr jerked his head back at Jin.] I found him in a house at the center of your residential area being held by a pack. You may want to send runners out to see what else is there.

[He then focused his attention at the guy sitting at the head of the table, baring his teeth.] Good evening, Do-hun. Give me a single good reason why I shouldn't tear your head off for breaking the laws.

[Justine can follow the conversation, but on a larger scale she hasn't a clue what's going on, especially the relationships between the various bloodsuckers. And of course she doesn't care to know.

What bothers her is how this female goes and proves her exactly right by trying to stake a claim on what's been hers for some time now. Tarr has been separating herself and Jin by virtue of being stood between them, but once Yeo-soo approaches Jin, Justine slips around behind Tarr to walk right up to Jin's side and lay an arm around his shoulders casually.]

You shouldn't assume a thing as handsome as this has no attachments already, that he can just drop everything and stay with you.

[Maybe she's undecided on how she feels yet, but Jin himself has voiced the desire to continue having sex with her, which means she can confidently say she knows he has at least one attachment he wouldn't just up and abandon.

It is a little distracting, however, to hear Tarr single out one of the vampires. His voice becomes something threatening, and Justine glances over to get a good look at the culprit. The reason they're even there, the one who destroyed the carefully balanced arrangement of her existence.]

[The thing that surprises him the most about the situation isn't the fact that he was poked in the shoulder by Yeo-soo or that she seemed to be okay with him here, once he thought about it. He probably was just a minor annoyance at the time. Beyond that, he wasn't a hunter anymore.

No, what has Jin surprised more than anything else is the one-two combination of the little brood queen asking to take him on as her own and the immediate response from Justine. The former for obvious reasons to him, the latter, well...

He does offer Yeo-soo a bit of a smile, shrugging as he leans more into Justine's touch at his shoulders instead.]

Sorry, she's right. I have unfinished business to take care of besides.

[Thought thankfully he's saved from going into further detail when Tarr calls out one of the other vamps, and just by virtue of feeling, he can definitely tell this is the one who had done this to him. While he knows that lashing out would be out of the question, his fists do clench, and he does stand a bit straighter.]

[Yeo-soo pouted at them and then bounced over to whisper something to senor before slipping out the door. The other vampire lord, the one in the flashy silver suit and slicked back hair gave Tarr a look. He was probably trying for haughty, but due to the narrowness of his face, he just looked ratty.]

I've done no such thing.

This man was a hunter who had contracts with two people, one a demon and one a vampire. Under such contracts, you were obliged to approach both before you could turn him.

What nonsense! Hunters are fair game!

In the course of their actions, they are. In self-defense they can be killed, contracted or not. Changing is outside those parameters. As is leaving a fledgeing behind for starvation and forced feral state.

[Do-hun glanced over at the senor, mouth opening to protest. The smaller vampire sighed and stood up, turning and half-bowing to Tarr before he left the room. Tarr watched him go, and smoothly hopped onto the table, sitting down like its the most natural thing in the world.]

While I have some investment in the hunter, his demon contract holder takes precedence on how she wishes to treat this matter. Justine? Do as you will.

[Justine watches Yeo-soo leave them alone, showing only a minimal amount of reluctance to do so. Tarr's influence? He had said Jin's own word was to be accepted.]

Well, I'm glad she took that so well. [Justine strokes Jin's neck with a single fingertip, her nail lightly grazing up and down the side of his neck she can't see.] Wasn't in the mood to get into a 'cat-fight' over you. [Her attention switches to Tarr as she hears the word "demon" enter into conversation. And of course that means the phrase, "starvation and forced feral state" rings in her ears. So unpleasant to consider how far her prey could have sunk.

The smile that spreads across her face when Tarr offers her the go ahead is all darkness.]

See? It was worthwhile me changing form. Ladies first. [Justine blows a kiss at Jin as she lets go of him and walks away, towards the vampire she's set on eradicating. She walks slowly back and forth in front of him, considering him from all angles as her heels click ominously on the floor.]

You took what was mine. That alone would be more than enough reason to have done with you. But you didn't only sever my link to my human, you didn't only deny me my sustenance... You were going to humiliate both he and I by allowing him to turn feral. I'd be ashamed to call a feral demon my kin. You obviously have no pride in yourself to wish to be associated with such desperate creatures.

Which is good. [Justine leans in, laughing as the vampire bares his fangs at her. She touches the very same fingertip that she'd been using to stroke Jin's neck to forcibly lift Do-hun's chin to meet her eyes.] That means you'll fight dirty, and it'll be more fun to destroy you.

[There's a shudder that does down Jin's spine as Justine runs her finger down his neck, but he's still more concerned over the conversation in front of them, and he mutters darkly:]

Putting an ambush party in the middle of another vamp's territory, being fucking vague on purpose to turn someone and then leaving them to go feral ... [He can feel his fangs coming out again out of irritation.] What I wouldn't give to rip this asshole apart myself.

[Granted even beyond the fact that he's a fledgling, he couldn't even if he wanted to due to the maker-child bond. Still, it's fairly obvious that he's pissed off, just by the look of pure venom shot Do-hun's way alone. The look only softens slightly at Justine blowing a kiss at him, and he steels himself.

Though he really shouldn't be finding Justine's threats against his maker as hot as he seems to be. He knows he has to prepare himself for the pain of having the bond severed as well, but there's now the start of a push, a silent command for him to try and distract the demon and the elder so that Do-hun can get away, and it takes all of his willpower to hold himself back and at least speak enough to let the other two know he's being forced, already slowly shuffling forward despite screaming at himself to stop:]

Are you fucking kidding me, already-?!

[There was beads of sweat appearing at Do-hun's hairline as he licked his lips, trying to look away from Justine. His fingers twitched, curling in a physical show of the pull he was directing towards Jin. 'Come closer and grab her' he seem to be saying even as he swallowed.]

How was I suppose to know any of this? It's all a lie!

Do you really think that I am that dumb? Poor child; I've been living on this world during the time of the kings.

[Tarr doesn't move from his spot but he does use a little of his own willpower to give Jin a moment's break from his maker's compulsion.] You are stronger then him, stubborner as well. Use it and break it. [He then pulled back, waiting to see what will happen next.]

Urgh. [It isn't difficult to realise what's happening, between Do-hun's intense concentration, and Jin and Tarr's verbal reactions, as silent as the attack may be. Justine wraps her hand around Do-hun's neck loosely.] Coward. [Her fingers tighten.] Trying to use mine against me.

[She flicks her eyes towards Jin; Do-hun may be hoping for a distraction, but every part of her is strung as tight as a bow string in anticipation. Nothing will come between she and him now.To Jin, she says-] You're more stubborn than he is. [And then her attention is immediately back on Do-hun.]

You think because you were able to turn him that he's weak. Well I choose my prey carefully. Not to mention, I'm sure you know all about muscle memory. You may be attempting to influence his mind, but his body is mine, it has been for quite some time. He'll do what I say.

[Justine throws a grin Jin's way belying the harshness of her words.]

If you do it, I'll give you what you want.

[That incentive should motivate Jin. Justine can feel the vampire's muscles tensing beneath her hand. As he attempts to make a move she shifts, and then her form is male again, with broader hands that wrap around the entirity of Do-hun's neck as Justin lifts him up into the air. As quickly as she shifted she's back again, tossing Do-hun to the floor.]

You have no idea what you're dealing with, do you? [She's laughing, almost maniacally.]

[He knows that he's stronger than this, why is why it's possing him off that it's taking him so long to break free of the hold - the momentary release thanks to Tarr's influence is enough to force him to stop, staying rooted to the spot. He's straining from the effort of keeping still, fingers digging into his palms as he clenches his jaw and swallows.

He is not a puppet. He will never let himself be influenced like that again. He did what he did for himself. It's selfish, but it had to be done. It was the only way he was going to survive.

Jin's entire body is trembling, but he does at least stay still, though the look in his eyes is murderous as he watches Justine start to throttle his maker. He knew that it was more to show a display of power than anything else, that she was going to draw it out. He didn't know whether to be happy about that or not, considering they all knew that there was going to be recoil one way or another. After a few moments, he is able to muster up enough will to spit this out, hissing between clenched teeth:]

Make him suffer.

[He might regret saying that later, but right now? He wanted to make sure that Do-hun realized just how badly he fucked up in turning him.]

[Tarr steeples his hands in front of his face, touching the tips of his fingers against his lips and doesn't hide the way he's smiling right now. His secondary teeth are visible - that sharp row that slid into place by the more human looking ones, his eyes bleeding to full a full black with no line between iris or whites or pupils. There was a low clambering sound outside the chamber and a wall near him is cleaved through as a pair of struggling vampires came through it. Do-hun jerked and whimpered as the bigger of the two was gutted then staked and the smaller vampire stood up, bowed and ran back out through the wall.]

I so dislike these territory disputes, but you brought this on your people.

Rot in hell!

You first. [He nodded at Jin, a little pleased at the show of strength. Despite the circumstances, he was showing that he may survive the ages.] Yes, you can do it.

[She hears Jin's encouragement and then she's lost, narrowing her attention down to herself and Do-hun. On the floor he seems so much smaller than she.]

Little bloodsucker. Little leech. Parasite. You know what some human children like to do to helpless insects like you? [Do-hun reaches out to swipe at her, kick at her. His wild desperation is contagious; Justine dodges and keeps laughing. She's far more accomplished at evasion than fighting. If he attacks she can avoid easily, it's how her kind survive the more bloodthirsty demons, the ones who kill simply because they enjoy it.] Children like to pull their limbs off. That's where I'm going to start.

[Well, if Tarr hadn't known from Dusty's gossip that she's a talker he certainly does now. It's fun to torment them psychologically as well as physically.]

Will it hurt if I pop your arm from the socket? [Justine dives and is behind Do-hun before she's really finished asking the question, mustering all her angered strength to place one hand on shoulder and one on upper arm and wrench them harshly in opposite directions. Her eyes seek out Jin's.]

You can handle this.

I'll make him suffer.

Nobody else would do this for you.

[Everyone else would be too soft, too reluctant to cause Jin pain. Not her. Not when Do-hun's suffering is what he wants.]

[He forces himself to watch as Justine continues to taunt Do-hun, a small twitch of a smile appearing on his face. It's not a very nice one - it's one that Justine's seen when he gets aggressive in bed, or during a hunt when he lets his quarry realize how badly they've fucked up. He's sweating a bit from the strain, but he knows he can push past this -

But once Justine starts to wrench his maker's arm behind his back and pull, he falls silent, one hand moving to his chest and biting back a scream.

This is fine, it's worth it-

He slowly lifts his head, feeling the sweat drip down his face and forcing himself to watch. It was almost oddly touching that Justine had gone this far for him. It's something else he'd have to sort through after this was over.]
