downfalling: (It falls around me 'cause well...)

[At the (thankfully) last words from the vampire, Jin did something that he didn't ever do before - he hissed.

But as soon as the sound escaped his lips and he sees that last remaining vamp get drained and tossed aside like a rag doll, his mouth snaps shut. And he starts staring at the floor again, unnaturally still. This wasn't what he meant when he said he wanted to live - not to become the very thing that he had sworn to take out. He had hated vampires, loathed them on principle - they were bloodsuckers that took away the lifeforce and light from people until they were either husks or monsters.

And they were the reason why he had become a hunter. As much as he would say that he became one for the sheer thrill of it (and it did play a major role in his reasoning, he couldn't deny that), there was a particular incident that had happened to him years ago that would set him on the path, and that incident was instigated by vampires.

Even though he had surprisingly staked the one responsible, he still didn't feel satisfied. That's why he continued. As much as he would deny it, he didn't want someone else to end up like him - desperate and trying to fill a void in their life when nothing seemed to work otherwise.

He's still staring at the floor when he replies, taking a shuddering breath when he realizes he can smell some of the blood, feeling his new fangs running out slightly -]

I don't want this. But I don't want to die.

[It's laughable. A hunter who hates vamps with every fiber of his being is now turned into one - and then he chickens out on trying to end it.]
