[Micchi shrugs; Philip doesn't need to assume so much from one little invite.]

You can have dates at a person's house; you can watch a movie in the comfort of your own home, or play video games, or invite someone over for dinner rather than go out to a restaurant. Money is an issue for other people, remember. A night in is cheaper than a night out, and more intimate too.

[And Micchi doesn't even mean that in a sexual intimacy way - just that it's much easier to focus on the other person when you're not in public and having your encounter potentially witnessed!

Good that Philip has already come across the double entendre that coffee is. That might come in handy. Micchi glances around when Philip does and looks at him meaningfully.]


Yeah, I guess it does. A "library date". Some people meet up under the pretext of studying together in order to spend time together.
