I did. The violin was considered, but it was the piano and the flute. ... The flute was dropped fairly quickly. I think it's gathering dust in a closet somewhere.

I was told I had pianist fingers, anyway. Long and thin... not really to be 'wasted' on the flute. ... But Father let me stop by the time I was in high school. Things were starting to get... difficult by then.
